Then as I sat down, I asked her to print out my mum' s receipts for previous visits. Renee puts a piece of paper on the reception desk and asks me to write my mums date of birth although she can clearly see that I had come in carrying a baby's backpack, my handbag and had my baby in my hand. When I told her I cannot write as I am holding my baby. She responded, "YES YOU CAN!"

I met Renee at the reception and told her that I had an appointment with Dr Thien and if it is okay for me to wait inside. She bluntly asked “what’s the name?’ This went on three more times before I realised that she maybe asking for the patients name and gave it to her.

Now, Renee could have easily clarified her question but instead made me repeat multiple times and GUESS what she was asking. I told her off for her attitude. Renee, instead of apologising was defensive and spoke as if she was right.

    2. She sarcastically asked me how I was going to take the receipts using my hands when I couldn't even write my mother’s date of birth on the paper provided. Renee didn’t realise that my hubby was actually on his way to the clinic to help me out. He came in shortly to Renee's shock.

I was horrified to experience the unprofessional way patients are treated at this clinic. I feel sorry for other patients who have to deal with them. I had another unpleasant experience in this clinic earlier this year whereby one the staff, instead of asking for my name just asked “who are you?”

    1. She purposely emphasized "YOUR MOTHER'S NAME" when asking for my mother's name to print out the previous receipts. This was in response to me telling her off earlier for just repeating “what's the name” when I arrived to my appointment that morning.

I made a complaint to the practice manager, Karen detailing what happened. After a follow up email, Karen responded in a vague email with NO APOLOGY. She said she regrets the difficult experience I had at the clinic. I can tell you there was nothing difficult about the experience. What I experienced was horrible customer service. She also spoke to Renee to only investigate the matter and that all staff were provided with some administrative and knowledge development training- whatever that is.

I had a horrible experience at this clinic last month and if I could give 0 star I would!

I'll briefly explain other unprofessional way that this receptionist reacted on that day:

My Dr Sonny Rueda was very thorough and explained everything I needed to know about my medical issue, he also needed to perform a minor surgical procedure - removal of a suspicious sunspot/mole and did a very careful, painless and professional job. I was referred to a skin cancer clinic after being told my mole was a melanoma - luckily in early stages. My experience at the clinic was a positive one leaving my feeling confident that this practice will take care of my health and my families health.

I have had an excellent experience with this doctors surgery after months of dealing with duff street and being diagnosed incorrectly one appointment and the issue was sorted with the Dr. Also reception ladies seem happy which is a refreshing change.

I was very happy with my new Doctor, not that I was happy with the reason for my visit.

    3. When my husband questioned Renee regarding her rudeness, she again defended herself and rolled her eyes at other patients indicating “can you belief these people. However, the irony of this situation was that the other patient told us that all the staff at the clinic are rude. Renee also admitted to my husband that she was rude to me and that she is normally rude to other patients as well. At this point, my husband thought she was not worth his time.

I visited the clinic after the move from the old location to the new at the shopping centre...to my surprise there are mostly new Doctors...

I can see that Renee is inconsiderate, immature, unapologetic, unempathetic, unprofessional, arrogant and extremely rude. I am shocked that she is even working in an environment where she has to communicate with distressed people on a daily basis.

The frontline staff should be empathetic and considerate to people especially since they work in a medical environment and they should take complaints seriously if they want to improve their service.

The drs and staff are very helpful approachable and caring and go above and beyond. My 2 yr old son needed to have stitches removed from his lip and all those involved made it a pleasant experience for both him and myself. No tears or trantrums... i cannot recommend them enough...
